Every other year you bump into a travel movie that makes you gasp. Tracks is one of those movies. It’s an adaption of the true story of Robyn Davidson who walked from Alice Springs to the Indian Ocean with her dog and four camels; a trip of 2700 km. With breathtaking shots of the Australian outback and the well conveyed struggle that this girl has with herself and others during this journey impressed me. Silence and solitude can be of great value but after a while it might become your worst enemy. Company weather you speak the same language or not, is key. If you love nature, animals and a good story, Tracks is your movie. (and book) The best thing, it’s available on youtube.
